Minulé časy v Ecově románu Jméno růže a jejich protějšky v anglickém překladu The Name of the Rose ; Past tenses in Eco's novel Il nome della rosa and their counterparts in the English translation The Name of the Rose

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza systému minulých časů v italštině ve srovnání s angličtinou, a to na menším vymezeném vzorku dat, který bude představovat italská a anglická verze románu Umberta Eca Il nome della Rosa a The name of the Rose. Konkrétní data jsou získána z paralelního korpusu InterCorp, konkrétně z verze intercorp_v13ud_it, jež je značkován pomocí Universal Dependencies. Jádrem práce je detailní srovnání užití minulých indikativních časů, od prostého passata prossima až po plusquamperfekta, a následná analýza korespondencí a nekorespondencí mezi například předminulými časy v italštině a angličtině. V teoretické rovině je též řešena netriviální otázka zásadního rozdílu mez oběma jazyky v rovině slovesného modu. ; The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the past tense system in Italian in comparison with English, using a small delimited sample of data, which will be the Italian and English versions of Umberto Eco's novels Il nome della Rosa and The name of the Rose. The specific data is obtained from the parallel corpus InterCorp, specifically from the version intercorp_v13ud_it, which is tagged with Universal Dependencies. The core of the thesis is a detailed comparison of the use of past indicative tenses, from simple passato prossimo to plusquamperfet, and a subsequent analysis of correspondences and non-correspondences between, for example, past tenses in Italian and English.
