SAICHOL PANYACHIT WISDOM AND DEVELOPMENT: AN ANALYSIS ON THE TREE ORDINATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

This article argues a theoretical controversy of local wisdom and development by taking into account the theory and the practicality of integrating local wisdom into concrete development. Furthermore, this article focuses on the significance of the evolution of local wisdom in universal religions associated with sustainable knowledge development. The presentation of the concept and practice of a forest ordination ceremony in Thai society is a case study aimed to understand the dynamic of local wisdom and development that integrates cultural beliefs. This shows that the aforementioned ceremony is considered a cultural pattern which goes through the acquisition of knowledge in the system of cultural values. There is also a continuing process of social institutions including religion, government, and education in order to study and include the forest ordination ceremony as a part of sustainable development in Thai society. ; บทความเรื่องนี้นำเสนอข้อถกเถียงทางทฤษฎีระหว่างแนวคิดภูมิปัญญา และการพัฒนา โดยพิจารณาภาคทฤษฎีและภาคปฏิบัติการของการประยุกต์นำองค์ความรู้ภูมิปัญญาไปสู่งานเชิงรูปธรรมของการพัฒนา นอกจากนั้นยังให้ความสำคัญกับการพิจารณานัยสำคัญของวิวัฒนาการทางความรู้ด้านภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นแนวคิดศาสนาสากลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการสร้างองค์ความรู้ไปสู่แนวคิดของการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน การนำเสนอแนวคิดและปฏิบัติของ “การบวชป่า” ในสังคมไทย เป็นกรณีศึกษาเพื่อทำความเข้าใจพลวัตของภูมิปัญญากับการพัฒนาที่มีการผสมผสานความเชื่อทางวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นว่าพิธีกรรมดังกล่าวถือเป็นรูปแบบทางวัฒนธรรมที่ผ่านการสั่งสมองค์ความรู้มาในระบบคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งยังมีปฏิบัติการที่ต่อเนื่องจากสถาบันทางสังคมทั้งศาสนา การปกครองและการศึกษา เพื่อเรียนรู้และพัฒนาให้กิจกรรมการบวชป่าเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการสร้างการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนในสังคมไทยต่อไป
