Gümrük Birliğinin Türk İmalat Sanayine Etkileri ; Effects Of Custom Union On Turkish Manufacturing Industry

Avrupa Birliği ile yapılan gümrük birliği anlaşması Türk Ekonomisinin dışa açıklık seviyesini arttırmıştır. Bu durumun Türk imalat sanayine etkilerinin incelenmesi çalışmanın ana konusunu oluşturmaktadır. İhracat, ithalat, yatırım ve verimlilik değişkenleri yolu ile Türk İmalat Sanayinin yapısal durumu incelenmektedir. Çalışmada imalat sanayi özet tabloları ve dış ticaret istatistikleri kullanılmıştır. İki basamaklı alt sektör analizi ile verimlilik, dış ticaret ve yatırım ilişkileri araştırılmaktadır. 73 alt sektör ve 16 yıl için Panel Veri Yöntemi kullanılarak, dış ticaretin ve Gümrük Birliği anlaşmasının özel imalat sanayi verimliliğine etkisi incelenmektedir. ; The aim of this thesis is to analyze the effects of Custom Union on Turkish Manufacturing Industry using the data for 1980-2000 period. Trade liberalization in 1980s and 1989 financial liberalization are important breakpoints in this period. The Custom Union Agreement with European Union has increased the degree of openness of Turkish Economy. Main concern of this study is analyzing the effects of the increase in the degree of openness on Turkish Manufacturing Industry. Structural conditions of Turkish Manufacturing Industry are analyzed based on export, import, investment and productivity variables. In this study, manufacturing industry summary tables and foreign trade statistics are used. The relationship between productivity, foreign trade and investment are analyzed based on four digit sectoral classification.
