Topic revelance. During this research we are going to analyze the cleaning effect of the electric and manual toothbrushes by removing the tooth plaque. Nowdays electric toothbrushes are widely being promoted. There is the question, which toothbrush better remove the plaque- electric or manual. Object. Influence of electric and manual toothbrush by removing the tooth plaque. Aim. To analyze the influence of electric and manual toothbrush by removing the tooth plaque. Objectives. 1. To analyze the condition of dental hygiene for patient who is usig electric toothbrush, before profesional dental hygiene procedure using OHI-s index. 2. To investigate the amount of tooth plaque for patient who is still using electric toothbrush after profesional dental hygiene procedure, using O‘Leary index. 3. To evaluate the amount of tooth plaque for patient who starts using manual toothbrush, using O‘Leary index. Methods: Research sources analysis; Quality research- case analysis. Results: 1. The first visit‘s OHI-s index results – patients, who use electric toothbrush, dental hygiene condition is good. It can means, that electric toothbrush is good in removing of tooth plaque, because of convenient to use or patient motivation. 2. Tree weeks later after profesional dental hygiene procedure , when patients was still using electric tooth brush, O‘Leary index results – dental hygiene skills are good. It can means, that electric toothbrush is good in removing of tooth plaque, because of convenient to use or patient motivation. 3. Tree weeks later, after patients change electric toothbrush to manual, we make O‘Leary index analysis one more time. It‘s results - dental hygiene skills becomes worse, it was more not removed plaque. Such result could be because patients was used to brush their‘s teeth with electric toothbrush and now it‘s difficult for them to start using manual one. Another premise could be – electric toothbrush is more comfortable and easy using than manual. And the last point – the vibratory movements of electric ...
