      Mathematics is a science that is certain, besides that mathematics is the queen of science and is a servant for other sciences. In learning, there are factors that directly affect learning outcomes. These factors can be internal and external factors. Independence in learning (self-regulated learning) is one of a number of factors that exist and are classified as important in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there is an effect of student learning independence on student mathematics learning outcomes at the junior high school level. This research uses descriptive quantitative research methods with correlational and ex-post facto research types. The subjects of this study were classes VII and VIII consisting of 200 respondents. The data collection technique was carried out using random sampling steps. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with previously carried out several test requirements, such as normal test and homogeneity test. Data analysis was carried out with the help of SPSS. The results showed that there was no effect of learning independence on student math learning outcomes at the junior high school level. ; Matematika merupakan ilmu yang pasti, selain itu matematika merupakan ratunya ilmu serta menjadi pelayan bagi ilmu yang lain. Dalam pembelajaran, terdapat faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh langsung terhadap hasil belajar. Faktor tersebut dapat berupa faktor internal maupun eksternal. Kemandirian dalam belajar (self-regulated learning) merupakan salah satu dari sejumlah faktor yang ada dan tergolong penting pada proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh dari kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa pada jenjang SMP.
