نبذة مختصرة : Este escrito es un esfuerzo por mostrar la importancia de un enfoque fenomenológico para clarificar, en cierto sentido, las explicaciones cognitivas sobre una posible awareness corporal. Shaun Gallagher, por ejemplo, es uno de los autores que ha intentado implementar descripciones fenomenológicas dentro de la ciencia cognitiva. Su propuesta de un enfoque cognitivo-corporeizado será, pues, motivo de un análisis crítico dentro de este escrito. Para este objetivo se acudirá a la descripción fenomenológica genética de Husserl. En dicha descripción, el cuerpo es algo más que un mero objeto intencional. El cuerpo se constituye en el ámbito de lo prerreflexivo y lo cinestésico.
