Ensino de língua inglesa em uma escola pública de Cuité de Mamanguape

The main objective of this study was to identify the importance of English language teaching in basic education, in a public school, and there are disagreements between students and teachers about this importance of teaching, especially in elementary school, in relation to the programmed contents and what the students want to learn. The approach was based on bibliographical research in articles and field research in a State Elementary and High School in Cuité de Mamanguape. The data collected in articles and questionnaire found that English language teaching had advances in teaching and difficulties due to the schedules and showed that the teacher and student relationship is excellent. The work discussed the importance that students are giving to language teaching in their school and the importance of valuing the English language in public schools, noting that learning English is global, and should prepare the individual for the job market and a globalized world. This study sought to discuss the valuation of the English language in the public school in question. ; O presente estudo teve como principal objetivo identificar a importância do ensino de Língua Inglesa na educação básica, em uma escola pública, havendo discordâncias entre alunos e professores perante essa importância de ensino, principalmente no Ensino Fundamental, em relação aos conteúdos programados e o que os alunos querem aprender. A abordagem baseouse em pesquisas bibliográficas em artigos e pesquisa de campo numa Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio em Cuité de Mamanguape. Os dados coletados em artigos e questionário constataram que o ensino de Língua Inglesa teve avanços no ensino e dificuldades por conta dos horários e mostrou que a relação professor e aluno é excelente.
