Während der letzten 25 Jahre ergab sich eine bemerkenswerte Konsistenz erziehungspsychologischer Forschungsbefunde, als autoritatives Erziehungsverhalten, das sich durch konsequente und flexible Kontrolle, emotionale Wärme und Förderung von Autonomie auszeichnet, bei Kindern und Jugendlichen die günstigsten Entwicklungseffekte zeigte. Autoritativ erzogene Kinder zeigten das höchste Maß an kognitiven, sozialen Kompetenzen und das geringste Problemverhalten. (DIPF/Orig.) ; During the past 25 years, research based on Baumrind's conceptualization of parenting style has produced a remarkably consistent picture of the type of parenting conducive to successful development of children and adolescents. Authoritative parenting - a constellation of parent attributes that includes parental warmth, firm behavioral control, but also appropriate promotion of autonomy, and clear, bidirectional communication - has been shown to help children and adolescents develop an instrumental competence characterized by responsible independence, cooperation with adults and peers, psycho-social maturity, and academic success. Drawing on parenting research, the article reviews parenting prevention programs that work for children and the family. (DIPF/Orig.)
