O PROGRAMA ESCOLA DE CONSELHOS DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE MATO GROSSO DO SUL (UFMS): UM ESTUDO DE CASO 1997-2015

This research is part of the research project Higher Education Policy in the Post LDB/1996 Brazil:Impacts in the Cernter-Oeste Region - FUNDECT/CNPq No 14/2014 PPP - MS. This study aims at analyzing the results obtained by the Councils' School Program, as part of University Extension activities. Described in public policy as an action, indissociable to the academic process, with a degree of importance equal to disciples and research, with a role relative to the permanecy of the students during their graduation degree curriculum. The investigation took place with the help of bibliographical and documental research and consisted in a case study, given that it is a specificand singular Program, materialized in in a Public Federal University and in a specific context. Data was collected from documents, reports and institutional edicts, as well as from the Council's School. The Councils' School Program consists in different activities and projects developed by the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul [UFMS], in the field of Human and Social Rights, especially in activities oriented to children and adolescents, labor, employment and income, social control, and ethnical and racial minorities, which were the object of this study. ; A presente pesquisa faz parte do projeto de pesquisa Política de Educação Superior no Brasil Pós-LDB/1996: Impactos na Região Centro-Oeste - Chamada FUNDECT/CNPq nº 14/2014 PPP – MS. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar os resultados produzidos pelo Programa Escola de Conselhos, enquanto ação de Extensão Universitária, descrita na política pública como uma ação indissociável no processo acadêmico, em grau de importância equivalente ao ensino e à pesquisa, tendo papel relevante na permanência dos alunos no processo de graduação.
