Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreation Center ; the Ray

Three bicycles are in the bike rack. ; Completed in the fall of 1999, this four-story fitness facility was named for Ray Meyer, DePaul basketball coach from 1942-1984 . The building is also known as "The Ray". Built on the site of the former Lyceum building, the interior of the building was developed as an “industrial loft.” Exposed structural elements were painted and left intact. All handrails were designed to evoke an industrial theme with stainless-steel cables and turnbuckles. DePaul President: Rev. John P. Minogue, C.M.
