      The changes proposed by the “New Secondary School” led to new demands related to student’s and teacher’s education and professional performance. A math teacher can act at the human perceptions regarding the future professional life of the students. This occurs beyond the math teacher works at elementary school – final years, at Secondary School and at youth and adult education. This can be reached by formative itineraries and life’s project at teaching. And also at extension activities that involve active professionals of the society. Impacts of mathematics knowledge in some occupations have been investigated for the development of this study. Then, it was able to identify how a mathematical approach in Secondary School can contribute to teacher’s education from the perspective of different professions. To do só, a characterization of mathematics, in terms of production’s and popular science’s areas, has been done. After that, a study of the current legislation about the New Secondary School and Extension Curricularization it was accomplished. It has been investigated the mathematical relationships with three fields of knowledge in particular: law, art and health. After findings, it’s been highlighted possibilities of approaching these elements on teacher’s education. This could get by discussions and timely activities for an extensionist assignment, aiming to meet undergraduate present programs’ demands related to university extension. This study has shown the value of discussions in the field of mathematics education based on society needs, linked to professional’s training from different sectors. ; As mudanças propostas pelo Novo Ensino Médio conduziram a novas demandas referentes à formação e atuação profissional de estudantes e professores. Além de atuar nos Anos Finais do Ensino Fundamental, no Ensino Médio e na Educação de Jovens e Adultos, um licenciado em matemática pode colocar a serviço da formação humana percepções relacionadas às futuras atuações profissionais dos seus estudantes.
