Pansofia Komeńskiego współcześnie: archaizm czy transgesyjna koncepcja człowieka w ujęciu uniwersalnym. Społeczne, edukacyjne i kulturowe wymiary

This research article is an attempt to contrast the universal concept of John Amos Comenius –pansophia –with one of the contemporary psychological concepts –the transgressive concept of man by Józef Kozielecki. Transgression signifying the crossing of material, social and symbolic borders, has its own pesonal and artistic dimension, independent from historic, cultural, and social contexts, as evidenced by the Comensky’s pansophia. The analysis of its myriad aspects shows a holistic and integrated approach to the vision of human development via education, which leads to a broadly understood activity and wisdom. This, in turn, is associated with the crossing of intellectual and social borders, first in the exploration of oneself. It aims at the formation of the world and social harmony, which in the end brings positive social consequences. It is based on the “acts of creation”, whereby the human being appears to be an artistic creature capable of creating a specific social life culture. Comensky’s pansophia is a universal system through which men are capable of repairing the world thanks to their integrity resultant from education and favourable social conditions. Numerous analogies of Comenius to the Józef Kozielecki’s concept of trans-gression allow us to consider the 17th-century system of ideas and visions of a human being as of current relevance, regardless of the socio-cultural differences between the two ideas Comenius’ pansophism at present: an archaism or a transgressive koncept of the human being from the universal point of view.
