نبذة مختصرة : This dissertation discusses the narrative perspective about homosexuality and analyzes the social (in)visibility of the abject body in Enquanto os dentes (2017), by Carlos Eduardo Pereira. The work, of a qualitative nature, is carried out based on bibliographical research, utilizing, for discussions about the body and its identity aspects, the queer theory, assumptions of the cultural studies and the critical feminist theory. In addition, regarding the debate of literary representations and the analysis of the object, it relies on investigations in Brazilian contemporary literature. Carlos Eduardo Pereira's narrative presents a different perspective from what is considered a Brazilian literary canon, when it brings to light an experience that is often socially ignored. It is noted, therefore, that the protagonist of the analyzed novel is made invisible in different ways, either by his sexuality and gender performativity in the family context and in educational institutions, or due to his physical disability and race, in different social spheres. This also occurs in the narrative context since it is written in third person. However, this aspect is necessary, as it demonstrates the erasure of a subject's voice seen socially only as an abject body, objectified, being only visible when in a feeling of pity and not as a subject of social value. ; Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES ; Esta dissertação discute a perspectiva narrativa acerca da homossexualidade masculina e analisa a (in)visibilidade social do corpo abjeto em Enquanto os dentes (2017), de Carlos Eduardo Pereira.
