Bulgarıstan’daki Medresetü’n-Nüvvab’ın Önemi ve Etkisi ; The Importance and Effect of Madrasatü’N Nüvvab in Bulgaria

This deals with the influence of theMedresetü’n-Nüvvab on Bulgaria, Turkey and theBalkans. Medresetü’n-Nüvvab wasa school that raises deputy-muftis and regents. Thisschool, which was the highest educational institution of Bulgarian Muslimsduring the period of the Kingdom, arose because of necessity. When Bulgaria declared its independence in 1908; the Muslim-Turkish population in Bulgaria needed too many scholars and clerics in order to meettheir scientific, religious and cultural needs.There was a requirementfor scientific and religious foundations in effort to raise necessary staffsthat people needed. To be able to meet these requirements, aschool, which is called Nüvvab, was opened in 1922 at the centre of Deliormanin the city of Shumen. Although the program ofthe Medresetü-Nüvvab included topics such as Turkish History and TurkishLiterature History, there were also those who wrongly described the NüvvabSchool as just a religious school.This school also taught Arabic, Turkish,science and religious education. The Nuvvab school had played an important andpositive role in Bulgarian Muslims’ educational life and for years had met thescientific and religious needs of Muslims. It is also of great importance inthe activities of Nüvvab graduates who migrated to Turkey. ; Osmanlı hâkimiyetindensonra Bulgaristan’da kalan Müslüman nüfus için Osmanlı sonrası dönemde yeni birmedrese olarak Medresetu’n-Nüvvab kurulmuştur. Bulgaristan Müslümanlarınıneğitim tarihi içinde, Osmanlı kalıntısı olan Şumnu’daki Nüvvab okulu önemli biryer tutmaktadır.
