نبذة مختصرة : The goal o this paper is to show a comparative reading between the two pieces of work enunciated on the title. In spite of being conscious of the several diff erences between the two novels, I intend to point out that both relate to moral blindness, as one of the re-sponsible facts for the misery of human life, which are peculiar in several circumstances, but possible to be read under a universal way. Under this approach, the discrimination against problems and their respective eff ects, represented in diegethical sequence, is supported by the enunciation of the absence of ethical aspects, literature, within exuberance of abuses, and in inhumanizing portrayed, takes on, in both novels, the function of raising refl ections, which can be understood as ideas in the opposite direction of history, turning out to be voices of resistance.
