Fédéralisme et minorités nationales en Europe

Problems posed by the existence of many minorities in Europe, whether they be linguistic, ethnic or national, posit the absolute need for a fundamental revolution. For a chance to build the bases of a lasting peace, the onto-theological fantasies of an indivisible sovereign state and the metaphysics of Nation-states should first be deconstructed. So-called universal values pertaining in reality to individual cultures should no longer be imposed. However the illusions of an irresponsible cultural relativism must be avoided. What is involved is the conquest of an individual's freedom to adhere to the values susceptible to contribute to the gradual definition of universal values. If it can be implemented, this approach could form the groundwork for a type of «consensual universalism»
