This project aims to develop and validate a scale for measuring the perceived permeability of group boundaries. This scale is based on different theorical frameworks (Armenta et al., 2017; Bourguignon & Herman, 2007; Ellemers, Wilke & Van Knippenberg, 1993; Tajfel & Turner, 1979; Wright, Taylor & Moghaddam, 1990). We will mostly focus on the distinction between personal and group’s perception of permeability (based on the distinction between personal and group’s perception of discrimination; Bourguignon & Herman, 2007) but we will also consider the distinction between membership and status’ perception of permeability (Armenta et al., 2017).
