Analysis of the teaching of wooden structures in Architecture and Urbanism schools in Brazil ; Análisis de la enseñanza de estructuras de madera en escuelas de Arquitectura y Urbanismo en Brasil ; Análise sobre o ensino de estruturas em madeira nas escolas de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do Brasil

The objective of this article is to carry out a survey (quantitative and qualitative) to verify the occurrence, workload and program content of the discipline of Structures in Madeira, or Structural Systems in Madeira, in the Schools of Architecture and Urbanism of the Brazil, in order to obtain a current and real perception about the teaching of the discipline. This article is based on an ongoing investigation in the Doctoral Thesis of Architect Ailton Cabral Moraes, in the Graduate Program of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Brasília (PPG-FAU / UnB), under the guidance of Professor Dr Ivan Manoel Rezende do Valle. The survey of the data was carried out from the “on-line” analysis of the Pedagogical Projects, Menus and Curriculum Matrices of the 466 regular Schools of Architecture and Urbanism in the country, listed by ABEA - (Brazilian Association of Teaching Architecture). The values ”‹”‹found are surprising and clearly reflect one of the main reasons for the devaluation and low use of wood in Brazil: the lack of knowledge of the material by Brazilian architects, the result of insufficient and often inexistent education. ; El objetivo de este artículo es llevar a cabo una encuesta (cuantitativa y cualitativa) donde la ocurrencia, la carga de trabajo y el contenido programático de la disciplina de Estructuras en Madera, o Sistemas Estructurales en Madera, en las Escuelas de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Brasil, para obtener una percepción actual y real sobre la enseñanza de la disciplina.
