نبذة مختصرة : The environment has been intensely degraded by man over the past few years, at the same time that there are deep sensitizations in society in search of environmental preservation. One way of raising awareness is through the implementation of environmental education in formal education. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate, through a literature review, the different ways in which environmental education has been approached in Brazilian professional technical education, identifying characteristics, methodologies used, limitations and challenges. A selection of 35 works was carried out in the Google Scholar database related to environmental education in Brazilian professional technical education. The works were analyzed and the results of these works showed that the implementation of Environmental Education in technical schools is still scarce, largely due to teachers who, for various reasons, do not feel prepared to develop this theme in the classroom, being necessary encouraging the training of teachers in this area. In addition, the uncritical and conservative view of the environment by teachers and students still remains prevalent, making them keep in mind that man is not part of the environment and, consequently, do not feel responsible for their actions in the face of environmental impacts generated. However, this type of conservative view has been modified in some of the most recent studies, through the application of new didactic resources and new learning tools. ; O meio ambiente tem sido intensamente degradado pelo homem ao longo dos últimos anos, ao mesmo tempo que ocorrem profundas sensibilizações na sociedade em busca da preservação ambiental.
