      This paper is an invitation to reflect on the educational development of Design, and the relevance that its skills and relationships with technology are based on sustainability and ethics, generating productions beyond instrumentality and at the service of people, in favor of life in Planet. This is a crucial moment of transformation, the material world has been built and altered by human interference. - Technology and artificial intelligence have surpassed the possibilities of human management. So this is the time to check the human dimensions and associations with ethics, solidarity and technology based on Paulo Freire. The methodology aims at broadening the theory, in order to revisit references and reflect on the practices in the teaching of Design in three educational institutions, aiming to improve the conduct and improve the skills related to the teaching and learning process. In terms of results, it is intended to support the way of thinking and projecting based on the reflection and expansion of these fundamentals for future activities. It is also intended to structure a more hopeful and transformative educational narrative in Design (including affectivity, autonomy and solidarity) for collective sustainability. ; Este artigo é um convite para reflexões acerca da educação para o Design considerando competências, relações com a tecnologia, sustentabilidade e ética, em uma abordagem para além da instrumentalidade, à serviço das pessoas e à favor da vida no planeta. Este é um momento crucial de transformações; o mundo material tem sido construído e alterado pela interferência humana. A tecnologia tem superado as possibilidades de gestão humana. Então esse é o momento de discutir o design, a ética, a solidariedade e a tecnologia fundamentados em Paulo Freire.
