      The research focused to assess impact of social capital, family support and religion on civic engagement using deductive approach. The sample for study was collected from Japanese educated youth using online google form survey. Questionnaire was linked wi th different social media platform. The hypothesis testing was conducted total 209 samples, using multi - regression with cross - sectional data. The association between bonding social capital and civic engagement was positive and significant while bridging so cial capital was reported insignificant. Results reported that association between family support and civic engagement was positive and significant in Japanese youth context while strong association between religion and civic engagement was reported. This study covers undergraduate students and this is main limitation of the study. For further research comparative study of undergraduate and graduate study is suggested.
