International audience ; Sustainable Bio&Waste Resources for Construction (SB&WRC) is a European project. The aims of this work is to study a range of biobased and waste-based materials poorly valued and locally available in the France (channel) England area. Three waste or byproduct are studied: (i) Corn-pith, (ii) Waste polyester and (iii) Wheat Straw. The development of low carbon thermal insulation prototypes are investigated. The goal is to have carbon footprint 25% lower than standards insulation materials for the building. The prototype 1 concern particleboard from corn-pith is develop at UniLaSalle. The prototype 2 consists of a wood frame containing polyester. The prototype 3 concern wheat straw-based insulation material. All prototypes are testing in laboratories and on pilot sites. An evaluation of the economic cost and the environmental impact of these materials are investigated. The elaboration of a future industrialization strategy and raise awareness among construction professionals into using these prototypes are develop.The objective of this poster is to promote and to share the potential of valorization of these bio&waste resources with professionals of building and academic community.
