      The present study is characterized as a Course Completion Work - TCC, being a prerequisite for completing higher education. Its theme is: the pedagogical residency in the Pedagogy course during the pandemic and post-pandemic context from the perspective of a resident. Based on this theme, we sought to discuss the academic's experiences as a resident, in the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP), at the Federal University of Santa Maria - UFSM, of the Pedagogy/Literacy subproject, in a municipal school located in the central region. west of the municipality of Santa Maria, RS. The narrative focuses on their experiences in a Pre B Early Childhood Education class, with children aged 5 and 6 during the 2021 school year, expanding on subsequent observations. The learning took place based on a differentiated teaching model, remotely, due to the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. During that period, remote teaching was the only viable alternative to guaranteeing children's right to education. This report is situated within the scope of qualitative research and adopts the autobiographical narrative and semi-structured interviews to construct the data. Through experiences throughout the year with the class, it can be concluded that remote teaching brought many challenges to children's teaching-learning, such as: difficulties with technology, little preparation of families to provide the necessary support to students, children's immaturity to deal with this way of teaching and teachers without specific training to work with remote teaching. The role of teachers in reinventing themselves in the face of this sad, but necessary, scenario also stands out. This work xtended to the post-pandemic period, with interviews and reports from the class teachers, where it was possible to define this moment in three categories.
