نبذة مختصرة : Kattu Vannanjoor, a village in Thondai Mandal, is today in Sankarapuram Circle, Kallakurichi District. Vadasiruvallur village is in the same circle. Here, a woman from the Edaiyar community fell in love with an Aathi Dravida goatherd man from KattuVannanjoor, after which the members of the Edaiyar community protested their love. When they go back to their husband's house, they have to go from the north bank to the south bank of the Manimuthu river, when suddenly there is a huge flood. She tries to cross the river to reach her husband's house because of the disgrace she has suffered in her father's house. If you bow down to the goddess and ask for directions, the river will flow away. But her husband did not give way. She went to the south bank and disappeared as a goddess in the rock. Then we will find in the research paper the data we have collected in the direct field study that Dalitiya is the first in the society, which is worshiped till today as the house deity of the same Aathi Dravida people (Paraiyar).
