Discretização do lago Perucaba na modelagem da dispersão de poluentes ; Discretization of Lake Perucaba in Modeling Pollutant Dispersion

This study investigates pollution in Lake Perucaba, in Arapiraca, Alagoas, proposing computational tools for lake discretization and solving the pollutant transport equation using the Finite Volume Method. The results reveal higher concentrations near pollution sources, with the discretization grid significantly affecting the outcomes. A regular grid is more suitable for the method. The study is motivated by the expectation of providing insights to assist and guide lake preservation policies in a well-founded manner. ; Este estudo investiga a poluição no Lago Perucaba, em Arapiraca, Alagoas, propondo ferramentas computacionais para a discretização do lago e a resolução da equação de transporte de poluentes pelo método de Volumes Finitos. Os resultados revelam concentrações mais elevadas próximas às fontes de poluição, com a malha de discretização afetando significativamente os resultados. A malha regular é mais apropriada para o método. O estudo é motivado pela expectativa de fornecer insights para auxiliar e orientar as políticas de preservação do lago de forma fundamentada.
