Aprendizagem da língua inglesa mediada pelo smartphone ; English learning through the smartphone

Artigo (especialização) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Artes e Letras, Curso de Especialização em Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação Aplicadas à Educação, EaD, RS, 2017. ; This article is based on an investigation about the influence of using smartphone and WhastApp in the process of construction of English Language knowledge and it involves a group of students, older than eighteen years old, from Technical Course of Administration from Instituto Estadual de Educação Cardeal Pacelli, a public school of Três de Maio, a town from Rio Grande do Sul. With this study it was aimed to evaluate collective relations of learning and in what way technology can help efficiently to the learning of English Language. The bibliographic research was used to base the theoretical knowledge about the studied area. The methodology applied is action research with qualitative and quantitative approach, that aims to understand the behavior of participants. To collect data was done the direct observation during the classes and it was made interviews with objective questions. An experiment was done in the classroom, with English Language activities developed during the study, which were posted in a WhatsApp group in which students and teacher participate. It allowed to recognize the positive contribution of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning and interaction among participants and see the digital tech resources as ways to reconstruct pedagogical scenario, increase educational opportunities and modify the paradigms of knowledge construction. ; Este artigo tem como base uma investigação em torno da influência do uso da ferramenta smartphone e do aplicativo WhatsApp no processo de construção do conhecimento da língua inglesa e envolve um grupo de estudantes, maiores de idade, do Curso Técnico em Administração do Instituto Estadual de Educação Cardeal Pacelli, escola pública do município de Três de Maio, interior do estado do Rio Grande do Sul.
