Diabetic patients require regular follow-up and the confinement linked to Covid 19 seemed to disrupt this follow-up. In Reunion, general practitioners are on the front line to follow them. Our objective was to study the experience of the follow-up of diabetic patients, by their attending physician during confinement, in order to highlight the points which could be improved, in the event of new confinement. We carried out a qualitative study with semi-directed interviews, followed by an analysis using NVivo® software. Results: Different aspects in the follow-up of diabetic patients have been destabilized. The aspects concerned are global, psychological, dietary, physical activity, weight, biological monitoring and specialized monitoring. The other aspects have remained relatively stable, and concern the monitoring of therapeutic compliance, treatment renewals, clinical examination apart from ENT examination, with IDEs at home. The teleconsultations were generally badly experienced. Wearing a mask has altered communication and the doctor/patient relationship. The points that could be improved are: the aspects that have been disrupted, which are specific to each practitioner, the communication of information, teleconsultations, the organization of offices for barrier gestures, face-to-face patient consultations and finally the monitoring of frail patients. ; Les patients diabétiques nécessitent un suivi régulier et le confinement lié à la Covid 19 a semblé perturber ce suivi.
