      Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) in the prison context is a way of ensuring education for all, aiming to provide basic education for people who are deprived of liberty. This research aimed to analyze and discuss the availability of Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) in the prison context, specifically related to mathematics teaching in the states of Paraíba and Rio de Janeiro. Among the main works that supported the theoretical framework and all the work developed during the research, especially the reflective sessions, we can mention: José and Leite (2020), Ireland (2012), D’Ambrosio (2009) and Almeida (2014). This is a case study divided into two distinct stages: i) the first stage consists of bibliographic and documentary research; ii) the second stage involves interviews with two teachers who work in the prison context from public schools of Paraíba and Rio de Janeiro. In general, the research highlighted the absence of a clear approach in official documents about the importance of teaching Mathematics. As a result of the investigation, we concluded that educational policies and pedagogical practices in the prison environment have to incorporate and recognize Mathematics as an essential tool for the complete training of students, looking to offer not only academic skills, but also promote values, citizenship and capabilities for them be able to live a dignified life. ; A Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) no contexto prisional é uma forma de assegurar a educação para todos, visando proporcionar a educação básica para as pessoas privadas de liberdade. Esta pesquisa, objetivou analisar e discutir a disponibilidade da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) no contexto prisional, especificamente relacionada ao ensino de matemática nos estados da Paraíba e do Rio de Janeiro.
