Verwertung von Weizenstroh und Mühlennebenprodukten zur Butanolproduktion durch cellulolytische und solventogene Clostridien ; Utilization of wheat straw and wheat milling by-products for butanol production by cellulolytic and solventogenic clostridia

Lignocellulosehaltige Biomasse ist ein vielversprechendes, regeneratives Substrat für die fermentative Herstellung von Bioalkoholen. Hier wurde die Fähigkeit von C. thermocellum ATCC 27405T und R. cellulolyticum DSM 5812T analysiert, unvorbehandeltes Weizenstroh zu verwerten, sowie deren Eignung für die rekombinante Herstellung von Butanol über den CoA-abhängigen Stoffwechselweg. Darüber hinaus wurde die Butanolproduktion durch solventogene Clostridien auf zwei Nebenprodukten der Weizenmehlherstellung untersucht und optimiert. ; Lignocellulosic biomass is an attractive and renewable substrate for fermentative bioalcohol production. Here, the ability of C. thermocellum ATCC 27405T and R. cellulolyticum DSM 5812T to solubilize non-pretreated wheat straw was examined as well as their suitability to be used for recombinant biobutanol production via the CoA-dependent pathway. Furthermore, butanol production from two byproducts of wheat flour manufacture using solventogenic clostridia was analyzed and optimized.
