نبذة مختصرة : Actuality. Nowadays, the issue of development and introduction of medicinal products based on plant raw materials is relevant. According to literature sources, Aster novi-belgii L. contains a significant amount of biologically active substances: flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acids, saponins, phenylpropanoids. Thus the aster herb is a promising source for obtaining phytosubstances based on it. The aim of research is to determine the total polyphenols content and dry residue in phytosubstances from the aster herb. Materials and methods. The objects of research were phytosubstances obtained from the Aster novi-belgii L. herb, harvested during the period of mass flowering of the plant in 2023 in the Ternopil region. The quantitative content of the sum of polyphenols was determined by the spectrophotometric method on a LabAnalyt SP-V1000 spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 760 nm , while the dry residue was determined by gravimetric method. Research results and their discussion. Phytosubstances were obtained from the above-ground part of Aster by the method of maceration with stirring, in which the total polyphenols content was determined by the spectrophotometric method in terms of pyrogallol and absolutely dry extract. Тhe quantitative content of total polyphenols in the phytosubstances ( series 1), obtained using 10% ethanol as solvent, was (14.76±0.40)%; in the phytosubstances ( series 2), obtained using 20% ethanol – (15.30±0.26)%; in the phytosubstances ( series 3), obtained using 30% ethanol – (15.04±0.11)%; in the phytosubstances ( series 4), obtained using 40% ethanol – (14.25±0.29)%; in the phytosubstances ( series 5), obtained using 50% ethanol – (12.79±0.24)%; in the phytosubstances ( series 6), obtained using 60% ethanol – (11.68±0.36)%; in the phytosubstances ( series 7), obtained using 70% ethanol – (10.94±0.25)%; in the phytosubstances ( series 8), obtained using 80% ethanol – (8.87±0.35)%. Gra ssssssss vimetric method was used to determine the dry residue of the obtained phytosubstances. The highest ...
