The aim of this essay is to trace how the statute of science has changed over the course of the 20th century. At the beginning of the text, the intention is to present two science models based on the analysis of a diagram. The change between these models is understood through a set of works from different areas of the 20th and 21st centuries. It appropriates science and its structuring elements as an object for carrying out a historical synthesis and reflect on the new biases that have made science more diversified. The text is an encouragement to students who are interested in deepening their knowledge of science and its history. ; O objetivo deste ensaio é traçar um panorama de como o estatuto da ciência foi modificado no decorrer do século XX. No início do texto, tem-se o intuito de apresentar dois modelos de ciência a partir da análise de um diagrama. A mudança entre esses modelos é compreendida por meio de um conjunto de obras de áreas diferentes dos séculos XX e XXI. Apropria-se da ciência e de seus elementos estruturantes como objeto para realizar uma síntese histórica e refletir sobre os novos vieses que têm tornado a ciência mais diversificada. O texto é um estímulo a estudantes que tenham interesse de aprofundar seus conhecimentos sobre a ciência e sua história.
