In general, in the study of geometry we must emphasize the original and basic forms. With the objective of exploring some concepts of Plane and Spatial Geometry, such as area and volume, through the use of packages, which are present in the daily life of the student. Motivating them to participate in the teaching and learning process of the Mathematics classes with activities that involve concrete material. As a pedagogical alternative in the teaching of Geometry, it was decided to develop and analyze the applicability of geometry in the daily life of the students of the Third Year of High School of the Major Belarmino Côrtes State High School, located in the neighborhood Dirceu, in the city of Cruz Alta-RS . In this sense, a study on Geometry and its functionality in students' everyday life was carried out through the packages found in their day to day life. ; A geometria é um conteúdo da Matemática que oferece possibilidades para os estudantes analisarem e representarem uma compreensão da realidade, de forma ordenada e organizada, para o processo de ensino aprendizagem, assim construindo seu próprio conhecimento, de formas muito significativas, pois estimulam a criatividade, a observação e a comparação, ferramentas fundamentais para a resolução de problemas.
