Active learning strategies in mathematics: promoting critical thinking and problem solving. ; Estrategias de aprendizaje activo en matemáticas: promoviendo el pensamiento crítico y la resolución de problemas.

Active learning is developed through participation strategies and teacher-student interaction in an effective way, so that the student becomes involved in his own learning and, from the knowledge of content and theories, thinks critically about perspectives and actions undertaken. Thus, this article establishes an exploratory analysis on active learning strategies in mathematics, as significant knowledge in secondary school students; This is done through the application of an exploratory analysis of previous studies from Ecuador and Peru in order to understand the impact that the active methodology has on the construction of critical citizens who solve problems effectively from the knowledge of mathematics. Thus, a total of 20 articles are delimited for the construction of an analytical view regarding the teaching strategies of mathematics from active learning and how these help the student to develop critical thinking so that their knowledge helps them solve problems in real life. As a result, it is proposed to contribute to the discussion by implementing various dynamics in the classroom for the sake of active participation, creativity and problem solving. ; El aprendizaje activo se desarrolla mediante estrategias de participación e interacción docente estudiante de modo efectivo, para que así el estudiante se involucre en su propio aprendizaje y desde el conocimiento de contenidos y teorías, piense de manera crítica sobre perspectivas y acciones emprendidas.
