نبذة مختصرة : International audience ; The Montredon tailings pile is a vast storage of industrial sludge from the processing of the Salsigne gold mine ore. Following investigations, it was found that the surface sealing system was totally ineffective and that there was a pollution plume resulting from a lateral leakage of storage at the East Dike. The Mining Prevention and Safety Department of the BRGM, site manager on behalf of the State, has proceeded to the resumption of the top cover of the containment and the treatment of leaks. The installation of the sealing complex was validated by a test board and checked with in-situ tests by an external controller. However, it was difficult to lay it because of the windy conditions in the area. The work involved several companies over a period of more than one year, as well as the presence of a project manager and a project manager assistant. ; L'amas de résidus de Montredon est un vaste stockage de boues industrielles issues du traitement du minerai de la mine d'or de Salsigne. Après la réalisation d'investigations, il s'est révélé que le dispositif d'étanchéité de surface était devenu inefficace et qu'il existait la présence d'un panache de pollution résultant d'une fuite latérale du stockage au niveau de la digue Est. Le Département Prévention et Sécurité Minière du BRGM, gestionnaire du site pour le compte de l'Etat, a procédé à la reprise de la couverture sommitale du confinement et au traitement des fuites. La pose du complexe d'étanchéité a été validée par une planche d'essai et contrôlée avec des essais in-situ par un contrôleur externe. Néanmoins, la pose de ce dernier a été difficile à cause des conditions ventées du secteur. Les travaux ont engagé plusieurs entreprises sur une durée de plus d'un an, ainsi que la présence d'un maitre d'oeuvre et d'un assistant à maitrise d'ouvrage.
