نبذة مختصرة : The objective of this work was to describe an experience on adaptations made for physically disabled people with the aim of improving teaching-learning in practical classes, carried out in a laboratory at a public university. This is a descriptive, qualitative research, of the experience report type, in which the experience of a wheelchair-bound student on the Nutrition course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, in the Food Analysis Laboratory of the Faculty of Sciences, is presented of Trairi Health. Given the various adaptations made to include people with physical disabilities, as this was the first person with physical disabilities entering this campus, there was a need to make adaptations such as lowering the bench and the emergency shower activation rod, portable table, washing machine portable eyes, emergency alarm, among others, in order to include it in practical classes to allow greater autonomy. As a result of this work, an experience report on carrying out adaptations within the Food Analysis and Biochemistry laboratory at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. The improvements were able to provide students with physical disabilities with greater autonomy to carry out various tasks within the laboratory, as well as assisting in their teaching-learning process. In view of the above, it is concluded that the adaptations made in the laboratory are aimed at meeting the limitations of students with physical disabilities within the aforementioned laboratory. ; O objetivo deste trabalho, foi descrever uma experiência sobre ás adaptações realizadas para deficientes físicos com o intuito de melhoria do ensino-aprendizagem em aulas práticas, realizadas em um laboratório de uma universidade pública.
