International audience ; Although the interaction of CD95L (also known as FasL) with its so-called death receptor CD95 (Fas) induces an apoptotic signal responsible for elimination infected and cancer cells maintenance tissue homeostasis, this can also implement non signaling pathways. This latter is involved in metastatic dissemination certain cancers severity auto-immune disorders. The complexity pair increased by fact that expression itself seems to contribute oncogenesis via a CD95L-independent manner and, both ligand might interact other partners modulating their pathophysiological functions. Finally, trigger cell immune rendering complex interpretation mouse models which or are knocked out. Herein, we discuss these non-canonical responses biological
