      This study focuses on former students of the Faculty of Education, from the path of a group of teachers, called graduates. This is an investigation that aimed to recover the historical trajectory of teacher training in the pedagogy in general course and more specifically the Faculty of Education, Federal University of Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the period 2009 to 2013. He sought also discuss the senses, meanings and dimensions of initial training and continuing education of teachers, as well as analyzing the paths taken by them. We chose an approach of qualitative and quantitative research. Participants were chosen randomly, with no criteria defined profiles and respect for ethical principles, through a questionnaire sent by email to the egress. As data source were considered responses from thirty participants who returned the questionnaire sent. The results were that most acts as teachers in public institutions of education. Half considers the Faculty of Education as very good. The highest degree of importance to study pedagogy was to enter the labor market as a teacher in Primary Education. Only fifteen people completed specialization, eleven have not completed Graduate, three completed Masters and Doctorate just concluded. In evaluating items motivation to route Postgraduate were: concern for the classroom; desire to participate in a reflection and study; search for answers to questions arising from the educational practice and the need to improve the curriculum. When comparing the results, it was concluded that the motivation is greater to participate in course Graduate, than the motivation to attend lectures and / or courses and / or short update workshops.
