نبذة مختصرة : Projekti pametnih gradova preuzeli su sferu razvoja gradova u cijelom svijetu zadnjih nekoliko godina i svake godine broj projekata raste dok je održivi turizam postao imperativ za razvoj tog sektora u mnogim zemljama. Hrvatska se tom valu sramežljivo ali sigurno priključuje te se ovim radom željelo utvrditi kako će situacija razvijati u budućnosti i kako na cijelu ideju gledaju lokalne vlasti. Cilj istraživanja je bio utvrditi u kojoj mjeri su lokalne vlasti upoznate sa pojmovima pametnih gradova i održivog turizma te koliko se zapravo radi na razvijanju takvih projekata u Hrvatskoj. Rezultati istraživanja upućuju na upoznatost lokalnih vlasti sa oba pojma, shvaćaju važnost razvoja takvih projekata, ali i nedostatak akcije prema implementiranju istih. ; Smart city projects have taken over cities development in the last few year with more projects being developed every year. At the same time sustainable tourism is taking over the whole tourism sector, since a lot of countries recognized its importance, and in Croatia tourism has become one of the key aspects of the economy. Croatia is one of countries that are starting to develop projects in both these areas and with this paper the author wanted to establish how will the situation develop in the future and how does local government view the idea of smart cities. It was necessary to determine how well does the local government know the theory behind these ideas and projects and how much work is actually being done to develop these systems. Results of this research show that local government is familiar with both terms, importance of developing such projects, but also the lack of action towards implementing them.
