    • نبذة مختصرة :
A day in the life of a ranch in eastern Oregon. Behind Pat Whited (Woodell), a man chops wood and to her right, cows eat from a feeding trough, while Pat and her cousin, George Hardy, pull their sleds. To the far right, a windmill with a water cistern provided gravity flow water to Grandma Whited’s house and the guest cabins, a system that was probably installed after Pat's parents turned the Diamond and a Half into a dude ranch. Before then, water came from a hand operated water pump on the back porch. To the far left, a stone cellar “refrigerated” potatoes, carrots and onions during the winter, much the same as a root cellar.
