Previous literature often considers the effects of digital transformation at an organizational level. In contrast, the perception of employees and the social impact of digital transformation have received little focus in research to date. Furthermore, current research often emphasizes the benefits of technology in organizations. However, digital transformation also represents a challenge for organizations and their employees. Consideration of digital competencies and digital inclusion is crucial for the sustainable introduction of digital technologies.
