      Título conforme ata de defesa: Unidades de ensino potencialmente significativas para o ensino médio envolvendo matrizes, determinantes e sistemas lineares ; This research aims to create, implement and investigate Potentially Significant Teaching Units involving Matrices, Determinants and Linear Systems for High School in order to identify and analyze signs of Meaningful Learning throughout the teaching and learning process. The Potentially Significant Teaching Units created were implemented in 3 classes of the 2nd year of High School in a public school in the municipality of Caçapava do Sul - RS, in the year 2022, in which the researcher worked as a teacher, which influenced the interest in better understand the teaching and learning process of Matrices, Determinants and Linear Systems from the application of Potentially Significant Teaching Units. For the construction of the Potentially Significant Teaching Units, a bibliographic review was carried out on the Capes portal in the catalog of theses and dissertations in the period from 2012 to 2021, with 172 dissertations and theses being located, based on the reading of the titles and abstracts, the body of analysis consisted of ten surveys, seven dissertations and three theses. The methodological option is a qualitative research, understanding that this makes it possible to expand the theoretical knowledge of the investigated topic, as well as opening the way for future studies and can also be characterized as a field research. For data analysis, it was decided to organize it in stages: Step 1 – Includes the identification of students' prior knowledge Step 2 – Includes the set of activities, and Step 3 – Includes the evaluation of UEPS by students and teacher.
