A língua portuguesa no exame de seleção do Instituto Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul ; The Portuguese language in the selection exam at the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul

O trabalho apresenta uma análise de questões de Língua Portuguesa dos exames de seleção para cursos técnicos integrados ao ensino médio do Instituto Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) referentes aos anos de 2017, 2018 e 2019. Situado no campo da Linguística Aplicada, assume seu compromisso social ao investigar práticas de uso da linguagem em contextos específicos (KLEIMAN, 1998; SIGNORINI, 1998). Objetivou analisar, para além da organização do instrumento avaliativo, quais conhecimentos são legitimados pela instituição em seu processo seletivo. Os dados apontam que há uma tendência em priorizar questões de gramática normativa e de metalinguagem em detrimento da interpretação textual e análises linguísticas. Constatou-se também que as concepções e práticas de linguagem de seus elaboradores têm impacto direto nas provas, posições estas que acabam por figurar um valor institucional. ; This paper presents an analysis of questions about Portuguese as a language from the selection exams (from the years 2017, 2018 and 2019) for vocational training courses integrated to high school of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS). Situated in the Applied Linguistics field, it assumes its social commitment by investigating practices of language use in specific contexts (KLEIMAN, 1998; SIGNORINI, 1998). Beyond the organization of the evaluative instrument, it aimed to analyse which knowledge is legitimated by the institution in its selective processes. The data shows that there is a tendency to prioritize normative grammar and metalanguage issues to the detriment of textual interpretation and linguistic analysis. It also found that the conceptions and language practices of its creators have a direct impact on these exams, which end up portraying institutional values.
