A/r/tography has provided new ponderings about how I see myself and my memories of migration. In my storyboarding work, intertextuality informs how I digest the information and discourses that have expanded my discoveries. In the context of this study, storyboards allow for self-reflection. The process of curating visuals and text from my data spotlights key discoveries. The Metaphor and Metonymy Storyboard is my rendered response to data provided by the participants. I have synthesised the following participant metaphors into a storyboard that ties together our identities and new media: • A tennis match. One person is standing in Greece; they have just served, and the ball crosses fast above the water/countries (map) to another person with a racket in Australia waiting to hit it. • On top of the tennis ball, a DeLorean car flies up above. For me, the DeLorean represents travel, as it does in the movie Back to the Future, which I watched in the mid-1980s at around the same time I migrated to Australia. I loved Michael J. Fox. A bridge made out of social media icons covers the distance/arch that connects Greece and Australia. • A few people on a Zoom call (on a computer monitor). • A participant quote written in the form of a text message on a mobile phone screen. • A time traveller in search of his ideal/contented self (an amalgamation of past, present, future selves) – we get reminders from Facebook (e.g., Memories), which we can relive and share again with our online communities. • A bridge crossing between the physical and the virtual (past and present; not so much the future). • Key words and phrases, both Greek and English, to map out possible text and images: ερεθίσματα (trigger); and γέφυρα (bridge). • Connection
