نبذة مختصرة : Nonverbal communication is considered as important as verbal communication which can have impacts on students’ learning progress, moreover in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context. This study attempted to investigate the effectiveness of teachers’ nonverbal communication when teaching using English from the perception of EFL pre-service teachers in the English Language Education Program (ELEP). There are 8 EFL pre-service teachers as study participants who were interviewed with 10 open-ended questions. The findings emphasize nonverbal communication as a teaching technique that fosters comfort, builds students’ confidence, and encourages greater classroom participation. The study concludes that the teachers’ nonverbal communication positively affects the EFL pre-service teachers, which helps them improve in English comprehension and communication.
