Marriage is essential for people's emotional well-being and overall satisfaction in life. The aim of this paper is to explore the use of mathematical modelling to understand, predict divorce and to provide insights on how to deal with the problems that arise in marriages. We analyse influence functions, as well as deterministic and stochastic models to understand the complex dynamics of relationships. Mathematical models explore features including emotional inertia, equilibrium points, external and partner influences to reflect relationship satisfaction. Moreover, this work explores the impact of intervention strategies and counselling techniques on improving communication. Thus, mathematical marital models can provide valuable insights into divorce predictions, identify crisis points and suggest effective solutions to problems.
