نبذة مختصرة : Rad se bavi relativno popularnim suvremenim temama koje su naznačene već u samom naslovu – etičkim aspektima u medicinskoj i humanoj genetici. Iako govorimo o sličnim konceptima, medicinska i humana genetika razvile su zasebne grane koje obuhvaćaju širok spektar pitanja. U ovom radu govorit će se o razvoju genetike, koja je doživjela značajan napredak posljednjih desetljeća, što je privuklo pažnju mnogih stručnjaka, uključujući i etičare, koji se bave izazovima i pitanjima vezanim uz ovo područje. Rad se također bavi temama poput primjene i ograničenja genetske tehnologije, etičkim problemima genetskog testiranja, kloniranja, eugenike, te etičkim pitanjima i problemima raznih genetskih modifikacija i manipulacija u genetskom inženjeringu. Značajan dio etičke rasprave u području medicinske i humane genetike uključuje informirani pristanak, pitanje odgovornosti te ulogu i važnost etičkih povjerenstava. ; This thesis addresses relatively popular contemporary topics, which are already indicated in the title – the ethical aspects of medical and human genetics. Although these are similar concepts, medical and human genetics have developed separate branches that encompass a wide spectrum of questions. This thesis will explore the development of genetics, which has made significant progress in recent decades and has, in turn, intrigued many scientific experts in these fields, as well as ethicists who engage in ethical discussions and questions related to genetics. The thesis also deals with topics such as the application and limitations of genetic technology, ethical issues in genetic testing, cloning, eugenics, and ethical questions and problems surrounding various genetic modifications and manipulations in genetic engineering. A major part of the ethical discussion on medical and human genetics involves informed consent, the issue of responsibility, and the importance of the opinions and positions of ethics committees.
