      Apresenta imagem de um Gymnophryid, que tem o corpo em forma de amebóide, geralmente dando origem a um pequeno número de finos pseudópodes ramificados que levam extrusomes. Pequenos flagelos são evidentes em microscópios eletrônicos. As fronteiras desse gênero e Penardia parecem confusas. Provenientes de água doce e terrestres, provavelmente monotípico ; Componente Curricular::Educação Superior::Ciências Biológicas::Microbiologia
