Ele não: o levante de mulheres contra o retrocesso

The 2018 general elections have become an unprecedented milestone in the history of Brazil. This report presents the research conducted for the production of the transmedia narrative "Ele Não: o levante de mulheres contra o retrocesso", which talks about one of the main social mobilizations against a presidential candidate since the redemocratization of the country. The product brings an immerse look into the lives of four women -Ludmilla Teixeira, Liliane Abreu, Monica Seixas and Simony dos Anjos -who were present at the protests against the then PSL candidate, Jair Bolsonaro, and how militancy changed their trajectories. From the account of their personal stories, it’s possible to understand the main motivations and repercussions of the Not Him movement,which united the intersectional struggle of the feminist, black, and LGBTQIA+ movements and emerged from cyberactivism. The research comes from the works of authors such as Celi Regina Jardim Pinto and Henry Jenkins to address the history of the feminist movement and the new possibilities that the internet provides. The main objective of this narrative is to be a documental report, with text, audio and video, of one of the most important political episodes in Brazil, preserving the memory of this resistance against the alt-right and the setbacks in relation to gender issues. In addition, it proposes to make a reflection about the role of the press in reporting these facts and the representation of women in politics. ; As eleições gerais de 2018 se tornaram um marco sem precedentes na história do Brasil.
