They are everywhere, been frequently used in the routine of almost everyone. Therefore, it is essential to keep updated, being a part of this evolution. The school is the environment that can and shall take care providing this knowledge to their students. The use of such technologies by the teacher as a support for the classes may bring great results. Among the many ways of technology application in education, this article focuses on the intent to bring the reading pleasure for the students. Besides raising discussions about technologies on education and reading habits, it is reported the work realized with a class of elementary school beginning grades, where it aims, then, to combine the technologies to the practice of reading. It is exposed what have been achieved and in the end there are other issues raised. ; São muitas as tecnologias da informação e da comunicação no mundo atual. Elas estão por toda a parte, sendo utilizadas frequentemente na rotina de praticamente todas as pessoas. Logo, é fundamental manter-se atualizado, fazer parte desta evolução. A escola é o ambiente que pode e deve preocupar-se em proporcionar aos seus alunos este conhecimento. Até mesmo porque o uso de tais tecnologias pelo professor como um apoio em suas aulas poderá ter ótimos resultados. Dentre as diversas formas de aplicação das tecnologias na educação, foca-se, neste artigo, a intenção de provocar o prazer da leitura nos alunos. Além de serem levantadas discussões acerca das tecnologias na educação e sobre o hábito da leitura, é relatado aqui o trabalho realizado com uma turma dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental, onde objetiva-se, então, aliar as tecnologias à prática da leitura.
