O devir dos espectros: experimentação e ensaio audiovisual a partir da apropriação de imagens de arquivo ; The spectrum's becoming: experimentation and audiovisual essay from the appropriation of archive images

Inclui anexos. ; This dissertation aims to present reflections on a process of appropriation of archival images that results in an essayistic path of audiovisual experimentation. Starting from some theoretical frameworks that marked the studies on technical images and their forms of agency as construction of meanings, we seek to illuminate a terrain to find a form of narrativity close to the essay. For this, we experimented with the creation of an atlas with photographic image sets, video montage sequences and the montage/ editing of an archive photofilm. The content of the images is limited to the collections and collections of photographers from the city of Uberlândia, state of Minas Gerais, available at the Municipal Public Archive, as well as moving images produced about the city, digitalized and available on Youtube. Placing myself as a reflective narrator about the history of a city in which the authorial self positions itself as a privileged observer of urban history through imaginary traces, I seek to understand the construction of the founding narratives and myths present in the imaginary, as well as the forms of consecration of certain statements through the file. In this way I intend to propose a practical reflection on the becoming of the spectrals, as ghost images that are revolved from successive interventions and montages in the archive in search of an art of memory. ; Dissertação (Mestrado) ; Esta dissertação pretende apresentar reflexões sobre um processo de apropriação de imagens de arquivo que resulta num percurso ensaístico de experimentação audiovisual.
